If you are interested please contact the church office at (918)491-7140 or stdsyouth@cox.net By now you have most likely heard that our church is going to do a four part series with Heifer International. If you would like more information on Heifer International in general you can visit their website at www.heifer.org or there will be a informational flyer handed out during the services for the next two weeks.
We begin our series with part one, " Celebrating Children", on January 31st at 1:00pm in the CFC. It will be followed by 3 more parts, once a month until April.
Feb. 21 at 1:00 will be Celebrating Sharing March 21st at 1:00 will be Celebrating God's Animals April 25th at 1:00 will be Celebrating God's World
Throughout this four month period, we will be collecting money from the entire parish in order to purchase animals thru Heifer International. We have "Baby Duck Banks" for every kid in our parish to take home and put spare change into. There will also be a "Momma Duck Bank" in the narthex (lobby) that they can empty their change into or just have fun "feeding the duck". If you miss the first session in Jan. the "baby duck banks" will be available in the narthex as well. We hope that all of our parish family will "feed the duck" so we can help out our brothers and sisters all over the world, including America.
These sessions are geared for children but don't be fooled! They will be enjoyable for people of all ages! To give you a preview of what the sessions will be like here's what is planned for "Celebrating Children" on Jan. 31st.

ACOLYTES
St. Dunstan's has several superb teams of acolytes made up of young people who play an integral part in our church services. They learn about the service and its meanings as they learn how to become acolytes. Our acolytes are involved in the Processions, the Gospel Reading, the Offertory, and most importantly in the Holy Eucharist. Each acolyte has duties during the different parts of the service. During the Processions, acolytes carry... The Cross (Crucifer) Candles (Torches) The Episcopal Church and American Flags (Flags) Thurible (Thurifer carrying incense) If you are interested in becoming an acolyte, we welcome you to talk to an acolyte or to Mother Mary Ann.
