Join this Advent Season...

What is Advent?

The word Advent is derived from the latin word “adventus” meaning coming. It is a season of both quiet reflection and preparation for the coming of Christ. German Theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer said “Life in a prison cell may well be compared to Advent; one waits, hopes, and does this, that, or the other- things that are of no real consequence- the door is shut, and can be opened only from the outside." (Letters from Prison, 21 November 1943) Most of us lead lives much more comfortable than prison, however we can still find ourselves waiting and hoping for Christ to open the door. We hope you will join us for Sunday worship this Advent.
