Lent Continues, Celtic Evensong (don't miss this), and Community Service

Worship Bulletins & The Bell (weekly print newsletter): www.stduntulsa.org/worshipwithus

Lent invites us to slow down, pay attention, and walk a little more intentionally with God and one another. At Saint Dunstan’s, that journey takes shape in worship, conversation, service, music, and simple time spent together.

Whether you have been part of this parish for years or are just beginning to explore faith or the Episcopal Church in Tulsa, we are glad you are here.

Sunday Worship

Holy Communion at 10:00am

We gather each Sunday at 10:00am for Holy Communion, rooted in Scripture, prayer, and the shared table. Our worship is grounded in the Episcopal tradition and open to all who seek a thoughtful and welcoming church community in Tulsa.

Rooted Together, our children’s chapel experience, also begins at 10:00am. Children start in the Rooted Together space for age-appropriate worship and formation, then join their parents in church in time for Communion so we can share the table together as one community.

There is space for every generation here.

Celtic Choral Evensong

Sunday, March 1 at 5:00pm

Celtic Choral Evensong offers a contemplative evening service shaped by prayer, poetry, and sacred music. Choral singing blends with traditional Celtic instruments, drawing from the rich spiritual heritage of Celtic Christianity.

Many find this quieter rhythm especially meaningful during Lent. A reception follows the service, extending the evening with conversation and hospitality.

If you are looking for a reflective worship experience in Tulsa, this is a beautiful place to begin.

Lenten Formation Series

Sundays during Lent at 11:45am | Daniels Hall

Our Lenten Formation Series continues each Sunday after worship. These gatherings create space for thoughtful discussion, shared learning, and honest questions as we move through Lent together.

Bring your curiosity. Bring your experience. Come ready to listen and to grow.

Daughters of the King Study Group

Sundays at 11:15am | CFC Classroom

The Daughters of the King continue their prayer and study gatherings centered on spiritual growth and service. This ministry is rooted in prayerful encouragement for the church and the wider world.

If you are curious about their work or simply seeking another place for reflection, you are welcome.

Celtic Spiritual Traditions Study Group

Thursdays via Zoom | 6:00 to 7:30pm

This ongoing Zoom group explores Celtic spirituality, prayer practices, theology, and history. It offers a deeper look at the tradition that shapes our Evensong services and continues to inspire many today.

To receive the Zoom invitation or learn more, contact Mary Christopher at 512-694-0643.

Parish Fellowship Night

Cabin Boys Brewery Meetup

Tuesday, March 3 at 6:00pm
1717 E 7th St, Tulsa

Sometimes community is as simple as showing up and sharing a table. Join us for a relaxed evening at Cabin Boys Taproom. Wear your St. D’s shirt if you have one, reconnect with friends, or introduce yourself to someone new.

The taproom does not serve food, so consider making it a dinner-then-fellowship evening before you join us.

No program. No pressure. Just good company.

Outreach Opportunity

South Tulsa Community House

March 6 and March 20 | 9:30 to 11:00am

Saint Dunstan’s continues to partner with South Tulsa Community House by greeting seniors during food distribution. It is a simple act of hospitality that reflects our commitment to serving our neighbors in Tulsa.

You can sign up on the Outreach Bulletin Board in the narthex. Even a small investment of time can make a meaningful difference.

Street School

In the past, we have provided meal kits for Street School’s student pantry and will likely do so again. In the meantime, there is a specific need we can help meet.

The students especially appreciated the “Compleats” microwave meals we collected around Thanksgiving. They are easy to prepare, come in a variety of flavors, and provide a quick, reliable meal during the day. They can be found at most grocery stores under the label “Compleats.”

If you are able to support this need, we would gladly receive these meals and make sure they are delivered to the pantry.

Looking Ahead to Holy Week

Holy Week is drawing closer. From Palm Sunday to the solemn beauty of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, and into the joy of Easter morning, this sacred week stands at the heart of the Christian story.

More details will be shared soon, but now is a good time to begin holding that journey in prayer.

At Saint Dunstan’s, we seek to live with inclusive hearts, curious minds, and generous lives. Wherever you are on your journey, there is a place for you here.
