As Eastertide begins to draw toward Pentecost, this Sunday invites us into themes of unity, hope, prayer, and the life we share together in Christ. In the Gospel, Jesus prays for his followers to be one. In Acts, the early Church waits together in prayer and expectation. And next Sunday, the fire and wind of Pentecost arrive.
At Saint Dunstan’s, we continue walking that same journey together: worshipping, serving, learning, and preparing our hearts for what the Spirit might be doing among us now.
10:00 AM – Holy Communion This Sunday’s music carries us through the final days of Easter with hymns and anthems centered on resurrection joy, unity, and Christ’s continuing presence among us. “Alleluia! Sing to Jesus” and “Crown Him with Many Crowns” frame worship with Easter hope, while “They’ll Know We Are Christians by Our Love” echoes Jesus’ prayer that we may be one.
10:00 AM – Rooted Together Children begin in the Rooted Together Chapel in the Preschool for an age-friendly Liturgy of the Word before returning to the nave in time for Communion.
11:45 AM – A Journey Through Acts Our Easter season study on the Book of Acts continues in the CFC following worship.
A FEW HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK
🕊️ Pentecost Dove Installation
As we prepare for Pentecost next Sunday, you are invited to take a paper dove from the narthex and reflect on the Fruits of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22–23. Write down a fruit of the Spirit you see growing in your life, or one you are praying God will grow in you, then return the dove to become part of a Pentecost installation above the altar.
🍖 Burnt Offerings at the Backyard BBQ Classic
Our Burnt Offerings crew will be competing in the Backyard BBQ Classic this Saturday at Saint John's Episcopal Church. The event is hosted by the Smokin’ Trolls BBQ Team and is open to the public beginning at 3:00 PM. Come enjoy live music, support the team, and sample some great barbecue. Taster plates are $10.

🛒 Street School Summer Food Collection
Street School is preparing to send students home with extra food for the summer, and Hormel Compleats meals have been especially appreciated. If you are able, please consider adding a few to your grocery cart and bringing them to the church in the coming weeks.
🔥 Dunstan Day Is Coming
On Sunday, June 7, we will celebrate our patron saint with worship reflecting more deeply on the life of Saint Dunstan, followed by a parish picnic on the preschool playground. The church will provide hamburgers and hotdogs, and parishioners are invited to bring a side dish or dessert. Start thinking now about your most “Dunstan-worthy” contribution.
LOOKING AHEAD
