There’s a lot of life happening around Saint Dunstan’s right now as we move from the joy and fire of Pentecost into Trinity Sunday and toward Dunstan Day. This Sunday we’ll gather for Holy Communion, celebrate a Baptism, continue our Eastertide journey through the Book of Acts, and begin looking ahead to some joyful summer moments in parish life.
11:45 AM • A Journey Through Acts Book Study in the CFC
This Sunday’s worship centers on the mystery and majesty of the Trinity while also celebrating the joy of Baptism as we welcome David into the household of faith. Music includes “Holy, Holy, Holy” and “Baptized in Water, Sealed by the Spirit,” helping us sing our way into both wonder and belonging.
🌭 DUNSTAN DAY IS NEXT SUNDAY
Next Sunday, June 7, we’ll celebrate our patron saint with a parish picnic after church on the playground. Hot dogs and lemonade will be provided, and our new Burnt Offerings BBQ group will be working the grill. We’re asking folks to help by bringing side dishes, chips, or desserts. There’s a sign-up sheet in the narthex.
Dunstan Day is one of those Sundays that captures the spirit of Saint Dunstan’s well: worship, fellowship, laughter, and a community gathered around the table together.
📖 PAUL AMONG THE PEOPLE
Following coffee hour on June 14 and June 21, Deacon Alan will lead a two-week class exploring the Apostle Paul through the lens of Sarah Ruden’s Paul Among the People. These conversations will help place Paul’s writings in historical and cultural context while inviting fresh discussion about how we read his letters today.
🍽️ RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE GUEST CHEF TEAM
Our next Ronald McDonald House meal team will serve on June 13 from 3:30–6:00 PM. Volunteers will prepare dinner for families staying at the house while their children receive medical care. Sign up on the outreach bulletin board if you’d like to participate.
☕ SUMMER COFFEE HOURS
Over the past two years, five different teams have faithfully provided snacks for coffee hour each Sunday. As summer begins, we’re giving those teams a well-earned break and trying something a little different for the next five weeks. Each Sunday will feature a different treat to share together after worship. This week we’re kicking things off with Bagel Sunday. 🥯
🌈 SAVE THE DATE: PRIDE SERVICE
Our 2nd Annual Pride Service will take place Sunday, June 28 at 5:00 PM. This service has quickly become an important and joyful expression of Episcopal welcome in Tulsa, and we are excited to gather again with friends from across the community. Reception follows.
💊 PILL BOTTLE DONATION UPDATE
South Tulsa Community House has asked us to pause pill bottle donations for now because the response from Saint Dunstan’s has been so strong that they are fully stocked at the moment. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
