Growing Together Until Harvest
This Sunday's Gospel gives us the parable of the wheat and the weeds. A farmer lets both grow together until harvest, rather than risk pulling up the wheat along with the weeds.
It's a reminder that we don't always see clearly what's wheat and what's weed in our own lives. Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is trust God's timing instead of rushing to sort things out ourselves.
There's a similar kind of patience in the rhythm of parish life this week. We'll gather for Morning Prayer, learn a new way to pray with Anglican prayer beads, share a meal and conversation around High Noon, and continue looking for ways to serve our neighbors.
