Everyone Fed the Same
This Sunday's readings are about resenting someone else's good fortune. Jonah is angry that God spares Nineveh. The landowner's early workers grumble that latecomers get the same wage they earned by a full day's sweat. The point isn't fairness measured out in hours worked. It's that everyone gets fed the same, and that's mercy, not injustice.
We get to practice that truth together this Sunday. A baptism during the 10:00 service will claim someone the same way every one of us was claimed. Then we'll carry that same spirit into the potluck, where the only thing that matters is that everyone eats.

Two new things begin the same night. Come and See is a space for real questions about faith, no pressure to have it figured out. Deacon Alan also launches a weekly Meditative Prayer Group.

St. Francis Day Pet Blessing: Save the Date
